HYDRO BARRIER can be used on interior and exterior, horizontal or vertical surfaces and is approved by IAPMO for use as shower pan liner.

What is the difference between Hydro Ban and hydro barrier?

The key difference is Hydro Barrier requires fabric to be used in all the corners and seams while Hydro Ban does not. There is also a color difference – Hydro Ban is sage color and will dry to an olive green color while Hydro Barrier is a light blue and will dry to a dark blue color.

How long does it take for Hydro Ban to dry?

Let topcoat dry to the touch, approximately 1–2 hours at 70°F (21°C) and 50% RH. When last coat has dried to the touch, inspect final surface for pinholes, voids, thin spots or other defects. HYDRO BAN will dry to an olive green color when it’s dry to touch.

Can you tile over hydro ban?

Tile can be installed on HYDRO BAN Sheet Membrane immediately after installation with LATAPOXY 300 Adhesive or any suitable tile installation mortar.
